With a career of over half a century in general medicine and a double specialization in neurology and psychiatry, resulting from his passion and scientific interest in the miracle represented by the human brain, Dumitru Constantin Dulcan is doctor of Medical Sciences since 1976 and has acquired, over time, skills in neurophysiological explorations EEG, EMG, PE and Pain Therapy. He carried out a rich international scientific activity, manifested by participating in courses, documentaries, congresses that took place in major cities in Europe, America and China: Beijing, Rome, Berlin, Paris, Marseille, Geneva, Istanbul, Vienna, Minneapolis, London, Toronto, Sydney, Bangkok, Madrid, Lisbon, Florence, Moscow, Rhodes, Nice. He is a member of the Romanian Society of Neurology, the International Brain Research Organization (IBRO), the Romanian Psychiatric Society, the Romanian Acupuncture Society, the Romanian League for Mental Health, the Romanian Society of Psychoneuroendocrinology, the Society of Doctors Writers and Publicists from Romania and abroad and numerous national and international scientific societies. Is Doctor Honoris Causa of the University of Pitesti (2014) and of the Western University „Vasile Goldiș” from Arad (2024).

He has developed as sole author or co-author more than 30 specialized works with essayistic and philosophical themes, most of them enjoying reprints, the most known and appreciated by the general public being: Matter Intelligence, published for the first time in 1981, after the rapid exhaustion of the print run, no longer being published, being banned by the communist political regime, it reached, in 2021, the 4th anniversary edition, completed, revised and updated, translated into English and French In Search of Lost Meaning; The Mind Beyond. Synthesis and significance of clinical death experiences; Brain and Mind of the Universe etc. He is the coordinator of the „Noua Spirituality” Collection within the Ardelean School Publishing House in Cluj-Napoca. He held numerous scientific conferences and wrote over 300 studies communicated at national and international congresses and symposia (over 100 participations), included in collective volumes or published in specialized journals.

Remarkable work Matter Intelligence she was awarded, in 1992, with the prestigious Vasile Conta„Philosophy Award of the Romanian Academy, in 2011, with the Constantin Noica” Award awarded by the Academy of Scientists, and in 2022, with the Excellence Award for value and uniqueness in Romanian scientific literature, during the Performance & Excellence Gala, 12th edition, Snagov.

Over time, the scientific activity of the Univ. Professor. Dr. Dumitru CONSTANTIN-DULCAN was honored and recognized by awards and distinctions awarded by cultural and official institutions: in 2000, she received the National Order „Steaua României” in the rank of Commander; in 2001, the Literary Award „George Florin Cozma” for the essay The Sleep of Reason; in 2003, the Belgian Prize for Literary Criticism in the work of Maurice Carême; in 2004, the Order „Merit Sanitar” in the rank of Officer; in 2008, the Excellence Award for the work In search of lost meaning, awarded by the Business Press Society; in 2014, the Medal of Excellence „Goldability” for the promotion of the science of spirituality; in 2015, the Excellence Award in Military Medicine; in 2015, he was nominated among the „100 Romanians for the history of the world”, within a Radio Romania project; in 2020, he received the Magazine Award Chronicle of Time (under the auspices of the Union of Professional Journalists from Romania); in 2022, the Audience Award from the Gala „Celebrity of the year”, organized by Professional Celebrity; 2023 – Myosotis Award for the most prestigious neurologist and psychiatrist of the year at the Radar Media Awards Gala; 2024 – „Ambassador of Spiritual Education Trophy” at the Gala News (Charity for Education) newspaper.

On August 15, 2024, the House of Creation „General medic Dumitru Constantin-Dulcan” was inaugurated in his native village, Mârghia de Sus, at the initiative of the Pro Mârghia Civic Association.

As a result of his vast experience in medical, neurological, psychological and spiritual scientific research, Professor Dumitru Constantin-Dulcan's books can successfully compile an essential bibliography, from which numerous theories, ideas, reflections, pertinent advice on education, psychology can be extracted and child care since the preconception period (the physical and emotional preparation of the couple), passing through the months of pregnancy and, subsequently, customized depending on the age of the child:
