academic and research.
Throughout his career, he taught subjects such as Cognitive Psychology, Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Modifications. He was a founder of the scientific journal Cognition, Brain, Behavior: An Interdisciplinary Journal and president of the Romanian Cognitive Sciences Association.
Publicly, Mircea Miclea served as Minister of Education and Research in the period 2004–2005, standing out for his support of the educational reform and adequate funding of Romanian education.
Among its representative volumes we mention: Cognitive psychology (1994), Stress and mental defense (1997), Cognitive psychology. Theoretical-experimental models (1999, 2001) and The East and the West (in collaboration with Mihaela Miroiu, 2005).
Through his academic and public activity, Mircea Miclea remains an important voice in the field of education and contemporary psychology.
